Minister of Human Resources praises the support of the wise leadership in achieving the goals of the Vision 2030

His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman AlRajhi, praised the support and attention of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 more quickly than expected, exceeding several targets of 2030 ahead of time, and the impact achieved in building people, developing society, promoting economic growth, financial sustainability, optimal investment of resources with quality and spending efficiency, and raising the Kingdom's global competitiveness; to become today the fastest growing among the Group of Twenty (G20) countries. On the occasion of the release of the annual report of Saudi Vision 2030 for the year 2023, His Excellency said that the figures and achievements achieved since the announcement of the Vision's programs, initiatives and projects in 2016 until today reflect historically unprecedented positive results for the Kingdom as a home for investment opportunities, a permanent destination for the future, and the success of the exceptional transformation journey from vision to reality, noting the size of the potential and components that have been invested in reaching a comprehensive national development and achieving the progress reached by the Kingdom through Vision 2030, the implementation of mega projects being worked on in several stages, and the achievements made, including Riyadh's hosting of Expo 2030.

Minister AlRajhi added that the efforts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continue in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 to empower national cadres, develop their skills, and increase women's participation in the labour market, explaining that the Ministry's system works with all partners to achieve the strategic objectives to empower the most vulnerable groups in society, enhance the contribution of the non-profit sector to GDP, reach one million volunteers by 2025, and serve beneficiaries according to best practices and highest quality standards, confirming the Kingdom's commitment to achieving sustainable development in all fields.

He pointed out that the Ministry, with the support and guidance of the wise leadership- may God protect them- has achieved qualitative achievements with Saudi Vision 2030, where the number of Saudis working in the private sector jumped from (1.7) million in 2019 to (2.3) million in 2023, a record achieved for the first time; including (361) thousand citizens who have never worked before, and the participation of women rose from 17% to 35%, exceeding the Vision 2030 target of (30%), as well as the decrease in the unemployment rate among Saudis to 7.7%, compared to 12.2% in 2016. He praised the qualitative achievements of the social development sector, where the growth of non-profit sector organizations has reached 173% since the launch of Vision 2030 to reach 4780 organizations, and the number of volunteers has reached more than 834 thousand male and female volunteers, as well as enabling more than 170 thousand male and female citizens to dispense with social security support.

The Minister of Human Resources concluded his statement by praying to Allah Almighty to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and to succeed in their blessed efforts for the good of the country and the citizen in all fields.
