In the session held on the evening of Tuesday, 16 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to 26 March 2024 AD, the Council of Ministers approved the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s accession to International Labor Organization Convention No. 187 regarding the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health for 2006, which aims to promote safety and health in the workplace and provide an environment Safe and healthy work for workers around the world.

The agreement is an important document that defines the general framework and guidelines for promoting occupational safety and health. It stipulates several basic principles and binding requirements in the field of occupational safety and health. It stipulates the commitment of member states to adopt legislation, policies and programs that promote safety and health in the workplace.
