The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) deposited last Wednesday lump sum payments into the bank accounts of social security beneficiaries for the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah. Ghazi Al-Shammari, acting deputy minister for social security at the ministry, said the total payments sent to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts estimated at SR496,359,811, which made for the current Hijri month. The number of cases who received the monetary support were 45,493 as they were in the waitlist, Al-Shammari added. The acting deputy minister for social security stressed that the releasing of lump sum payments comes within the supportive programs that the department offer, including monetary support for those who meet the eligibility conditions. The ministry makes sure that the deposited payments are directly sent to their bank accounts with the aim of improving the living conditions of those with low income, mostly those benefiting from social security, Al-Shammari clarified.
