The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development held the fourth Sectoral Skills Councils meeting for the logistics and transport sector and the fifth meeting for the energy and utilities sector, as part of the ministry's efforts to enhance skill levels across various sectors.

During these meetings, several important topics were discussed, including the completion of the development of specialized skills frameworks for the two sectors. These frameworks aim to identify the skills required by the labor market and anticipate future needs for each sector. Additionally, the National Center for Strategic Partnerships provided an overview of its role in facilitating partnerships between employers and the education and training system. The Energy and Water Academy also presented an overview of its programs during the Energy Council meeting.

It is noteworthy that the Sectoral Skills Councils are part of the Labor Market Strategy initiative, approved by Cabinet Resolution No. (254) dated 23/4/1442 Hijri. These councils aim to elevate skill levels in priority sectors in the Kingdom by identifying skill needs, predicting future requirements, and aligning efforts between the public and private sectors and the education and training system. The Sectoral Skills Councils consist of 12 sectoral councils managed by representatives from government and regulatory bodies, the private sector, committees, and the Saudi Chambers Federation.
