Saudi Arabia to host meetings of committees of the GCC Ministers of Civil Service, Social Affairs, Social Development, and Labor in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia will host in Riyadh the meetings of the GCC ministerial committees of (civil service, social affairs, social development, and labor) from 25 to 26 September 2022, which will be chaired by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, with the participation of delegations from the Gulf states, to discuss several issues related to civil service, social affairs, social development, and labor to boost the joint Gulf cooperation.

On the sidelines of the meetings, various activities will be held, during which projects and leading personalities in the fields of labor, development/social affairs, and distinguished competencies in the civil service sector will be honored.

The Kingdom presides over the meetings of the Gulf ministerial committees as it is the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in its current session. The meeting of the Civil Service Ministers Committee is the eighteenth meeting, while it is the eighth meeting of the committees of the Ministers of Labor and the Ministers of Social Affairs/Development.

It is worth mentioning that this hosting is the first to hold the meetings of the committees of the three sectors in the same period.

The importance of these meetings emanates from the GCC's efforts and keenness to enhance cooperation and joint action in the fields of labor, social development, and civil service to keep pace with the changes that the world is witnessing in the social, economic, and digital levels.
