Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Chairs Meeting of the GCC Labor Ministers’ Committee

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi chaired today, Monday the meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Labor Ministers’ Committee, hosted in Riyadh from the 25th to the 26th of this September.

 

In his speech at the meeting, Eng. Al-Rajhi welcomed the GCC ministers in their second country, the Kingdom, conveying to them the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, and their directives on the importance of integration and coordination among the GCC countries, stressing the importance of these meetings in strengthening efforts and exchanging expertise and experiences to support the Gulf labor markets and keep pace with global markets.

 

He explained that this meeting aims to coordinate joint efforts to achieve the goals of the ambitious plans of the Gulf countries, through the implementation of the initiatives of the GCC strategy in labor and the employment and integration of citizens into the private sector, and raising the level of its attractiveness, reviewing the Ministry’s achievements in this aspect, its initiatives, programs, and market strategy.

 

During the meeting, the ministers discussed several topics of common interest, including the decisions of the Supreme Council in labor and the results of the Business Development Study Committee, the memorandum of the Executive Office on the strategy of joint Gulf in labor and manpower, and the memorandum of the Executive Office on international cooperation and the experiences of member states.

 

His Excellency Dr Nayef Falah Al Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and number of officials attended the meeting.
