Royal Decree No. (A/109) was issued on 5/20/1433 AH approving the establishment of the (Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work Foundation) in accordance with its basic system, and the composition of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees for a period of four years. This award comes in an effort to encourage social charitable work that aims to provide aid and assistance to the needy, and for the desire to find a prize concerned with excellence in social work, bearing the name of Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on her soul. The foundation’s statute included that it is an independent, non-profit legal entity, and the foundation’s statute stipulated that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is the honorary president of the council and that the foundation’s headquarters be in the city of Riyadh, with the possibility of establishing branches or offices for it inside the Kingdom.
