Contrast Change Font Size A+ A A- The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development depends on the application of violations and penalties on enterprises benefiting from the payment of compensation in the unemployment system translate His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Mr. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, on the adoption of penalties for violating the decisions of the noble royal decree regarding exemption from some provisions of the unemployment insurance system to pay compensation to Saudi workers in establishments affected by the repercussions of precautionary measures to combat the spread of the new Corona virus. The approved violations and penalties were as follows: - The violation of excluding employees after the end of the compensation payment period, the establishment will be penalized with a fine of 50,000 riyals, multiplied by the number of workers. - The violation of non-commitment to pay the wages of workers not included in the compensation payment, the establishment is punished with a fine of 10,000 riyals, which is multiplied by the number of workers. - The violation of the employer's failure to appeal the payment of workers' wages after the expiry of the compensation period, the establishment will be penalized with a fine of 20,000 riyals, multiplied by the number of workers. It is noteworthy that this decision comes as part of the ministry's efforts to support workers in the private sector, guarantee their rights, especially after the effects of the new Corona virus, and to improve and develop the work environment and preserve the labor market gains from the workforce.
