Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signs a memorandum of understanding with the Children with Disability Association to operate a temporary shelter center in Riyadh

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed today a joint memorandum of understanding with the Children with Disability Association, with the aim of operating a non-governmental temporary shelter center at the Model Education Foundation in Riyadh, enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and the Association, and achieving the strategic goal of improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of social services for the Ministry's beneficiaries, as well as supporting people with disabilities by providing means that help develop and improve the services provided to beneficiaries.

The memorandum of understanding was concluded by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Children with Disability Association, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi.
The MoU stipulates the Ministry's cooperation with the Association in facilitating the procedures for initial and final licenses in accordance with its competencies and regulatory roles, and providing it with basic data for beneficiaries nominated by the Ministry, taking into account the national data governance and personal data protection policy, in addition to technical consultations for people with disabilities.

The agreement includes the Association obtaining the necessary licenses in accordance with the provisions of the procedural guide for opening a non-governmental social rehabilitation center, carrying out the construction works of the building in terms of equipping and furnishing, and all operating works, in addition to providing rehabilitation programs for beneficiaries with a number of (140) beneficiaries in housing services for people with moderate and physical disabilities who are trainable through trainers specialized in the field of disability, activating extracurricular activities to achieve community integration, as well as providing family counseling programs to empower families.
The MoU aims to enhance the role of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in empowering individuals and society, promoting social responsibility, and supporting people with disabilities. It seeks to provide high-quality rehabilitation and training services to beneficiaries, ensuring their social integration.
