The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development reveals its efforts in Hajj season 1445 AH

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that it has achieved multiple achievements at the end of its participation in the work of Hajj season for this year 1445 AH, by launching a set of initiatives and services that contributed to facilitating the journey of the pilgrims, ensuring their comfort and safety, and improving their experience in performing Hajj.

During this year's Hajj season, the Ministry implemented more than 40 initiatives, including the Children's Hospitality Centers initiative, which contributed to receiving more than 177 children through 22 centers in Makkah, as these centers aim to give pilgrims peace of mind and comfort, by providing a safe environment for their children during their Hajj.

In terms of volunteer work, more than 1,000 volunteers, male and female, participated in providing services to the pilgrims in Mecca, the Holy Sites, land ports, and stopping sites for pilgrim buses. They worked approximately 130,000 volunteer hours, and during these efforts, more than 470,000 meals were distributed, in addition to more than 50 thousand personal gifts, the Ministry also supervised, through the Watering Initiative, the work of 83 associations in providing services to pilgrims, and the number of meals provided exceeded 3 million meals and more than 5 million bottles of water.

The Ministry participated in the work of the emergency committees in cooperation with the relevant authorities by implementing 5 programs and workshops and supervising 4 shelter centers to provide immediate services when needed. An emergency mission was also conducted in Mash’ar Arafa to ensure the teams’ readiness, and the efforts were supported with 15 vehicles equipped with all necessary needs.

Within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to enable seasonal work for establishments and individuals wishing to work during this year’s Hajj season 1445 AH, the number of working individuals benefiting from the “Bab Ajeer” service reached more than 16,840 workers, while the number of establishments benefiting from the service reached more than 880 participating establishments, and the total number of CVs published through the service reached about 24,671 CVs.

Through the “Seasonal Visas” service, which provides the opportunity for establishments operating during the Hajj season to cover their need for workers and contribute to serving the pilgrims, the Ministry worked from an early stage to issue seasonal visas to establishments on easy and convenient terms, where the number of seasonal visas issued amounted to more than 42,853 seasonal work visas for a number of professions in various fields. The Ministry's supervisory teams worked to implement more than 655 field visits with the aim of implementing the establishments’ requirements and provisions of the regulations for seasonal temporary work visas, and their compliance with the regulations and instructions. Through the Labor Law Provisions Initiative, the Ministry also conducted more than 4,000 field visits aimed at enhancing establishments’ compliance with the provisions of the Labor Law and its executive regulations.

These initiatives and efforts reflect the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s commitment to achieving the highest levels of service for pilgrims, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, improving the quality of services provided during Hajj season and ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for the pilgrims.
