The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development suspended the disbursement of social security benefits to more than (7300) beneficiaries in the previous month. These beneficiaries, aged between 18 and 40 years old, were found to have violated one of the conditions for receiving the benefits, as they were not serious in seeking employment and rejected the job opportunities offered to them by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).

The fifth paragraph of Article 17 in the Social Security System stipulates the suspension of benefits if it is proven to the ministry that the beneficiary, who is capable of working, is not actively seeking employment or has not applied through the ministry's approved employment platforms, or if the beneficiary rejects suitable job offers and training opportunities.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, through the developed Social Security System, aims to empower beneficiaries to achieve financial independence and transition to productive individuals through various qualification, training, and empowerment programs. This is in line with the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. The ministry calls on all capable beneficiaries to respond to training, qualification, and employment opportunities offered to them by relevant authorities and to apply for available job opportunities through approved employment platforms to avoid the suspension of social security benefits.
