Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of the Eastern Province, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development intends to organize the "WAAD" Skills and Training Forum in the Eastern Province. The event is scheduled to take place from January 3rd to 4th, 2024, at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran City. 

The forum will include various activities, meetings with heads of sectoral skills councils, presentations on skills and training incentives, and specialized dialogue sessions on skill development. Additionally, the forum will provide training opportunities for students and job seekers presented by academies. It will also feature specialized workshops for experts and professionals interested in the field of skills and training.

The Skills and Training Forum is the first of its kind in the Province and the second within the series of forums stemming from the outcomes of the national training campaign "WAAD" organized by the Ministry across various provinces of the Kingdom. The series commenced in the Northern Borders Province and will continue in several provinces of the Kingdom.
