Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Honors Contributing Entities

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah ibn Nasser Abuthainen, honored today, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 AD, in Riyadh, the entities contributing to the launch and operation of the service "Insurance on Supportive Labor Contracts" and Cooperative Insurance Companies in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Human Rights Commission. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Authority, Mr. Abdulaziz ibn Hassan Al-Bouq, and a number of ambassadors and representatives of consulates, in addition to a number of officials.

In his speech on this occasion, His Excellency the Deputy Minister praised the joint efforts and fruitful cooperation with partners and relevant authorities, stressing their vital and important role in the success of the launch of the service "Insurance on Supportive Labor Contracts", noting that the continuity of these strategic partnerships will lead to more successes in the future, adding that this service comes to meet the needs of contractual parties and preserve their rights in a balanced manner, which contributes significantly to enhancing the attractiveness of recruiting support workers in the Kingdom, and consolidates its position as a preferred destination for skilled workers at the global level.

His Excellency stressed that the supportive labor sector is one of the priorities of the Ministry and the labor market strategy, and the Ministry has invested in the development and automation of policies and procedures in the Musaned platform, which directly contributes to improving the beneficiary's journey to obtain supportive labor services with ease and comfort.

Thanks to the joint efforts, His Excellency pointed out that the service of insurance on supportive labor contracts has achieved great success, as the number of workers insured on their contracts has reached more than 500,000 contracts since the launch of the service. These efforts have also contributed to a decrease in the average cost of direct recruitment by more than 60%, and a significant reduction in the duration of recruitment from 95 days to 54 days from more than 30 countries sending domestic workers, in addition to a decrease in the cost of labor rental services by more than 30%.

Dr. Abuthnin confirmed that the Musaned platform has achieved many successes, including the first place in the beneficiary satisfaction index for 2024 in the Kingdom issued by the Digital Government Authority, in addition to receiving international accolades from organizations such as the International Labor Organization (ILO).

It is worth mentioning that this honor comes within the framework of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's endeavor to develop partnership and integration between the public and private sectors and enhance the quality of the recruitment sector in the Kingdom, in line with the Ministry's strategy to improve contracting between workers and employers and preserve the rights of all parties.
