The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development sets up a strategic workshop with a number of governmental and supervisory agencies to organize and support the localization of the sharing economy

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development set up a workshop titled (Designing a Strategy for Organizing and Supporting the Localization of the Sharing Economy), and was attended by His Excellency the Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abu Thanin, and a number of leaders of the government and supervisory agencies. The workshop has discussed the identification of the main challenges facing the sharing economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has researched and conferred with more than 10 authorities in this regard. The workshop viewed a number of indicators and factors affecting the subject matter such as the participants in the sharing economy, investors, and regulatory bodies, as well as recommendation and proposal to initiatives and solutions, then discussing them to achieve the comprehensive goal in regulating and developing the sector and enabling the Kingdom to become a global leader in the field of the sharing economy and to achieve the objectives of the labor market strategy.

The workshop agenda included an open discussion with representatives of concerned authorities in order to identify the challenges facing participants, investors, and regulatory bodies in different sectors, formulate proposals based on the challenges presented, and come up with a number of initiatives for support and implementation. This workshop comes within a series of workshops with all those concerned parties of the sector to reach a number of possible solutions for the sector.
