The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) clarified on Tuesday Yemeni brothers who reside in the Kingdom can benefit from the ‘employment authorization’ service through following certain steps via the Ajeer (Hiring) portal.

The move allows them to transfer their visitor IDs into official residency permits (Iqama) issued by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).

Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman at MLSD, said the Yemeni brothers who have obtained visitor IDs can utilize the service via the Ajeer (https://visitors.ajeer.com.sa), adding the Yemeni visitor must hold a valid visitor pass issued by Jawazat along with an official passport from the legitimate Yemeni government.

Additionally, the visitor’s passport information should be registered and included in his border file at the Jawazat, as well as change his host into employer name who will issue the work permit.

The spokesman said the establishment which wants to issue a work permit for the Yemeni visitor can register with the Ajeer service using their saved data at MLSD, select the company name, then choose the employment authorization service from ‘visitors’ authorization’ box.

It allows the employer to issue a new authorization document, enter the visitor’s information, pay fees and print the document after he accepts conditions and terms of the service, Abalkhail said.

To issue employment authorization documents for domestic laborers, individuals must register with the Musaned portal (https://visa.musaned.com.sa), choose the authorization document service for the Yemeni visitors, fill out contract info and attach documents that prove their financial abilities, Abalkhail explained as well.

After they accept conditions and terms of the service, the application will be sent upon verifying the submitted date. When the application gets approved, they can pay fees for the service, issue the authorization documents and print them as well, the spokesman said.

Abalkhail urged the Yemeni brothers and establishments to utilize the service and follow the instructions through visiting the before-mentioned portal. He said they can contact the Ajeer’s customer service No. (920002866) if they have any inquiry on the service.
