The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signs a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Society for Hearing Impairment

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed a joint memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Society for Hearing Impairment. The Ministry was represented in its signature by the Director General of the General Administration for Support and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ms. Arwa Bint Abdullah Al-Daihan, and on the part of the Society, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ali bin Mohammad Al-Hallafi.

The MOU aims to enhance joint work between both parties and support the social responsibility of the individual and society, by training the Ministry's employees to provide a distinguished experience for the beneficiaries in the field of sign language basics, helping the deaf and hard of hearing and developing their capabilities, providing training courses and awareness lectures, training social researchers and supporting them with the unified Saudi sign language dictionary to facilitate communicating with beneficiaries with hearing disabilities, in addition to helping orphans who are deaf and hard of hearing and inviting them to attend awareness, developmental and rehabilitative lectures in the field of sign language and empowering them in the labor market.

The Deputy Minister for rehabilitation and social guidance, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Wahaibi, pointed out the importance of these partnerships, which provide a distinguished experience for the beneficiaries, which contributes to the integration of the joint work of the authorities, the development of the social work system and the raising of the quality of social services.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development seeks, through concluding such agreements, to reach the highest levels of cooperation with all authorities and establishments in various sectors to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
