His Excellency Minister of human resources and social development engineer Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Alrajihy launches Monday 29 January 2024 in Riyadh “Youth Development Strategy" that aims to empower and support the youth to achieve national aspirations by developing young people's opportunities and choices in line with their scientific and practical interests in all fields. 

His Excellency Minister of human resources and social development acknowledged in his speech during the launching ceremony the support and guidance of wise leadership -God bless it- which empowered the youth with an ambitious vision that takes them to broader perspectives and welcomes the contribution to inclusive national development, indicating that this strategy is in cooperation and partnership with more than 30 governmental and private entities. This strategy provided the youth with a various collection of programs and initiatives of various fields, most importantly regulations and legislation for youth work, building the capacity of youth workers and increasing young people's participation in the decision-making process and their community participation.    

His Excellency Alrajihy indicated that the increase of youth percentage in the Kingdom, reaching 44% of the total population and constituting today 78% of total workforce, necessitated the design of this strategy, which runs until 2030. This strategy is based on (5) great pillars and its vision that our youth is a wealth to achieve 10 strategic goals including raising youth's contribution to development, implementing 20 initiatives and 40 projects targeting all segments of youth. This is to remain the effect of enhancing their skills, raising their level of competitiveness globally, and the Kingdom's progress in youth development indicators. His Excellency emphasized that the ministry of human resources and social development has a great interest in youth category and it seeks the formulation of policies and programs that contribute to strengthening their national participation. This resulted in the engagement of the youth in 20 tangible vivid sectors to be part of an active part in building our bright future, thanking all partners from institutions and individuals, and all those who contributed to building a "youth development strategy".

The ministry of human resources and social development pursues to achieve its strategies emerging from Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to create a convenient environment contributing to the progress and growth of the youth by providing the necessary and appropriate conditions to develop their capabilities, enhance their values and seek to improve their quality of life by providing safe environments in addition to supporting initiatives that encourage healthy and active lives with supporting young people in their transition stages, contributing to raising indicators of youth development performance in the Kingdom and international forums.
