Under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, the "Work Award" ceremony for private sector establishments is held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Riyadh. The ceremony coincides with the International Labor Market Conference, which will take place in Riyadh from December 13 to 14.

Over 88,000 private sector establishments compete for 27 awards distributed across four main tracks: Saudization, Work Environment, Skills and Training, and CEO Track. More than a million employees participated in the nomination survey for eligible establishments, following the nomination criteria for this year's award.

The award aims to honor distinguished establishments, encourage them to adopt business models compliant with motivating work environment standards, and enhance their competitiveness and attractiveness to private sector employees. This initiative from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development encourages establishments to invest in the development of their national workforce, raise the sustainability and career development rates of their employees.

It's worth mentioning that a new track has been added to the award this year, the "CEO Track," to honor the efforts of private sector leaders and motivate them to adopt best practices that contribute to enhancing labor market performance and efficiency in line with the aspirations of Vision 2030.

The Work Award was launched for the first time in February 2020 and has since seen continuous development in terms of the number of tracks available for nomination, as well as increasing participation and interest from major private sector establishments.
