The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development launches the third session of the National Award for Voluntary Work

His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, today launched the 3rd session of the National Award for Volunteer Work 2023 in order to encourage volunteerism, and achieve the goals of the National Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030, which is to reach one million volunteers.

His Excellency underlined that the launch of the third session to present this award reflects and inaugurates the successes achieved in the previous two cycles/sessions, and strengthens the concepts and practices of sustainable volunteerism, in addition to the continuance of the Ministry’s efforts to raise the level of volunteer initiatives and work in order to be qualitative, and to have a tangible societal impact.

 
The National Award for Voluntary Work aims to achieve a number of deliverables such as: motivate volunteerism practices in a sustainable manner among individuals and entities; highlight and honor outstanding volunteering activities and those in charge for them; contribute to the sustainable development of the voluntary work sector inside KSA; as well as to enhance the quality of volunteering efforts and initiatives.

 
The award targets six classes/sectors: Governmental sectors; non-profit sectors; private sectors; educational sectors (universities, colleges, education departments), volunteer teams, in addition to individuals.
