Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor heads the Saudi side in the 14th session of the Saudi-Bangladesh Joint Committee

Today, in Riyadh, the 14th session of the Saudi-Bangladesh Joint Committee, chaired by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, kicked off.

The Saudi side was chaired by His Excellency Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, while the Bangladesh side was chaired by Her Excellency Undersecretary of the Economic Relations Division at the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Sharifa Khan.

The first day began with the workshops for the sectors, with the participation of a number of government agencies from both sides to discuss common interests and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The private sector of the two countries participated, represented by the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi-Bangladesh Committee emerged from the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the two countries signed in 1978 AD, and continued to convene successively between Riyadh and Dhaka. It aims at encouraging economic, technical and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
