Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development participates with orphans in the annual Ramadan Iftar event and launches the " Aytamna " platform

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for the Social Development Sector, Mr. Majid bin Abdul Rahim Al-Ghanimi, in the presence of a number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, businessmen, officials of the supporting and donor agencies, and those interested, participated in the annual Ramadan Iftar event with his orphaned children, which was organized by the Ministry represented by the Agency for Rehabilitation and Social Guidance and the General Administration for Orphan Care in conjunction with Arab Orphan Day in Riyadh.

During the event, Mr. Al-Ghanimi inaugurated the "Aytamna" platform, which is an interactive technical platform to be a rich source of knowledge in the field of working with orphans. It will provide the necessary knowledge and information to help and empower orphan associations in the Kingdom and activate their institutional structure and roles with their beneficiaries. It will also provide various services to enhance community participation. in awareness and empowerment.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Deputy Minister extended his thanks and appreciation to all those in charge and those interested in social affairs for their pioneering role in supporting orphaned children. In his speech on this occasion, he said, "Our participation for our orphan children in the Ramadan Iftar coincided with an occasion dear to us, which is the celebration of the Arab Orphan Day, and this participation is a translation of the attention given to orphans and the keenness of the wise leadership to empower them, build their future and achieve their aspirations.

Al-Ghanimi stressed that the "Aytamna" platform will support the non-profit sector to carry out the tasks entrusted to it, and will contribute to strengthening the role of associations and institutions in participating in economic development plans in order to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

On her part; Her Highness Princess Dania bint Abdullah bin Saud Al Saud, Chairperson of the Social Services Development Committee at the Riyadh Chamber, said: “We are very happy with the participation of orphans in the Ramadan Iftar, which embodies social responsibility, promotes brotherhood among members of society, achieves the principle of affection and love, and strengthens the social fabric, which is undoubtedly a community initiative based on the values of Saudi society.” She added: "There is no doubt that this Ramadan participation has a special theme because of its spiritual and social values, and familiarity in a distinctive social image with the aim of enhancing communication between members of society."

On his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Rehabilitation and Social Guidance, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Wahaibi, praised the complementary efforts and partnerships between the Ministry and all governmental, private and non-profit sectors, which culminated in providing capabilities for our orphan children in the fields of education, employment, housing, social integration programs, training and rehabilitation, and entrepreneurship projects.

At the end of the event, the entities and individuals who support and contribute to the charitable work of orphans in the Kingdom were celebrated, including the Specialized Sub-Council of Orphan Associations, the Charitable Foundation for Orphan Care “Ekhaa” and the Charity Association for Orphans Care in Riyadh “Insan” to activate and integrate orphan children into society.
